Many real estate agents will hate me, but I advise against getting an agent. There are a multitude of programs to help you, and best of all, you tend to save some money in the end. This is not to say that I advise you to go it alone. I think you’d be a fool if you didn’t seek out some professional advice.
There are some great tools available on the internet that will help you in your real estate hunt. The first, Zillow, can give you a “Zestimate” that will help determine an approximate value of your home.
My second favorite site is Trulia. This site gives listings, comps, maps, and a bunch of other information that will help you make a wise choice when negotiating the real estate market.
Each of these sites will give you the insider’s information, for free, to make valuable decisions with your home sale or purchase.
